Part I: This workshop will explore teaching the skill of data literacy in the library and include practical programming ideas that can be adapted for a range of spaces and audiences. At the end of this session, attendees will be able to communicate data literacy principles and implement data literacy activities in their space.
Presented by Tess Wilson, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, PA
Tess Wilson is a librarian who loves talking loudly about digital literacy, equitable access, and citizen science. Beyond her library work she is an arts educator, mentor trainer, and zine enthusiast. She’s a collector of many things, from small rocks to big books.
